Case Study · Built From Zero
Black Ancestry & Reparations didn’t have a website. Launch Automation built an 11-page research and advocacy site, and alongside it, 40 Million Strong - a full membership platform with four paid tiers, a 59-lesson curriculum and a working-group think tank, built from zero.
Visit the live siteThis wasn’t a redesign. There was nothing to redesign. Here is what that actually meant, day to day.
The reparations research and the case for it lived in talks and notes - there was no home for it online.
No membership mechanism, no dues, no way to turn interested people into an organized base.
The sourced argument for reparations - the wealth-gap data, the enacted-versus-proposed programs - existed only in notes, not as a citable public record.
Nothing declared this project’s mission or sourcing standard in the hidden layer Google and AI assistants read - because nothing existed to declare it.
Skills like lineage research, land ownership and cooperative governance had no organized home to be taught from.
No mobile experience, because there was no experience to make mobile.
Every row on the right was measured directly on the live site and app. Every row on the left is simply what did not exist yet.
There is no archived old site because there was no old site. Every “Now, live” figure above was measured directly from the live site and app on 2026-09-01; methodology available on request.
The right side is the real, live site, running right now. Nothing on the left is a screenshot of an old website, because none existed.

Making the case for reparations was only half the job. Organizing people around it needed its own platform. Alongside the 11-page site, Launch Automation built 40 Million Strong - a real membership app with sign-in, a dashboard, a 59-lesson curriculum, a community forum and a working-group think tank, gated across four paid tiers.
it’s live That’s the real sign-in screen for 40 Million Strong - members log in here today across four tiers.
Sign-in, dashboard, courses, lessons, forum, working groups, account and tier upgrade - a real app, gamified with keys, streaks and a 5-tier level system.
Heritage recovery to community design - a structured curriculum, verified against the platform’s own lesson data, 3 lessons fully written.
Community free, Keyholder $47, Builder $97, Founder $197 a month - published prices, not “contact us.”
Seven standing working groups and a member forum, built and wired - the platform itself labels its sample activity honestly, ready to fill in at launch.
So the site was built for the phone first. The left screen shows what a phone found before this build - nothing. The right screen is the live site itself, loaded at phone size.
On the live site, every action above is one tap from any page - and the membership app carries the same navigation down to phone size.
Anyone can see a well-written page. The layer underneath - the one Google, Siri and ChatGPT actually read - is where a site built from zero either gets built right the first time, or doesn’t get built at all.
What most new projects start with - nothing
What we give every client
Building a site from zero means the layer underneath either gets built right the first time,
or it never gets built at all.
Every figure above was measured on the live site on 2026-09-01. We don’t promise rankings - nobody honestly can. We build sites and apps that search engines and AI assistants can actually read, which is what rankings are built on.
Here is what was actually delivered - a full research site and a custom membership platform, built as one relationship.
11 public pages designed around the mission - not a template with new colors.
A 9-screen app: authentication, dashboard, courses, forum, working groups, account and tier upgrade.
6 modules and 59 lessons built and organized, with progress tracking per member.
4 membership tiers with content and access gated by tier, live sign-in and sign-up.
Titles, descriptions, canonicals, sitemap and robots directives on every public page.
Every statistic on the public site traces to a primary source and carries the year it was measured.
A structured FAQ and a genuinely detailed llms.txt manifest - most sites never write one at all.
An explicit crawler policy naming GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and more - and keeping the members area private.
Instead of one generic homepage, the site gives each part of the mission its own place to work. Tap any of them to open the real, live page.
Each card above is a real, live page on the site - tap it to open it full screen.
No made-up traffic charts. Just what is built, verified and running today.

This build paired an 11-page advocacy site with a full 9-screen membership platform and a 59-lesson curriculum - two products most agencies would price, and deliver, separately. Most builds either have a low or no build fee and a lower monthly fee.
No existing site required. Tell us what you do and who you serve - that’s the whole assignment.
The site, the structured data, and - when it fits the mission - a custom membership platform, built around what you actually do.
You see everything at a private link before anything goes live to the public.
