Living In Burleson Texas Team Case Study · Website Transformation

From a stock template to
a trusted advisor's site.

A complete rebuild for Mike Ritrovato, a retired Marine Corps Master Sergeant and Compass REALTOR serving Burleson and Fort Worth. We took a generic real-estate-portal template and rebuilt the entire experience around Mike himself - his service, his listings, his reviews.

The Challenge

Mike is a top-producing agent.
His old site didn’t say so.

Before a pixel changed, we went through the old site page by page. Six things stood between Mike and the buyers, sellers and veterans looking for him.

Team-branded, not Mike-branded

The old site sold “Living In Burleson Texas Team” - a generic team name - instead of Mike, the retired Marine buyers and sellers were actually going to work with.

No proof of service record

Twenty-two years in the Marine Corps and VA loan expertise - the two biggest reasons a veteran family would trust him - weren’t mentioned anywhere above the fold.

Reviews left off-site

Reviews existed on Zillow and Homes.com, but none were published on the site itself where a visitor could actually read them.

Listings without a story

Property pages leaned entirely on the raw IDX feed - no photo tour, no walkthrough video, no reason to pick Mike over the listing agent link.

Search visibility gaps

The hidden layer search engines read never declared a REALTOR or local business - generic Organization and listing-feed data only.

Not built for AI search

No llms.txt, no AI-crawler policy, and answers weren’t structured for an assistant to quote accurately.

The Audit

Before we touched a pixel, we measured.

We saved a copy of the old site and audited it - and we’ll tell you what it did right, too. Here is the honest scorecard, old versus new.

Area
Original site
Rebuilt site
Tells Google it’s a real estate agent
Generic Organization & ItemList only - no agent type declared
RealEstateAgent, Person, address, geo-coordinates
Reviews on the site itself
None published on-site
26 reviews in full, plus a 5.0 rating citing 45 Zillow & 22 Homes.com reviews
Answers AI can quote
FAQ page present with FAQPage data (platform default)
6 structured Q&As, plus a full llms.txt AI briefing
Listing photo tours
Raw IDX feed page, no branded tour
Full photo gallery plus a real walkthrough video per active listing
AI crawler policy
Blocks a few scraper bots, says nothing to AI assistants
40+ named AI crawlers explicitly welcomed, plus llms.txt
Service niche called out
Not mentioned
Dedicated VA loan & PCS relocation page for military families
Local content depth
No blog or neighborhood guides
28 blog posts - 9 city comparisons, 8 DFW-area guides, first-time-buyer & VA guides
Page titles & descriptions
Present - credit where due, though the homepage title is truncated and missing a space
Rewritten for every page
Canonical URLs, sitemap, robots
Present (Lofty platform defaults)
Rebuilt clean, 56 URLs in the sitemap

Every row above was checked on saved copies of both sites, captured the same day. Where the old site already did something right - a sitemap, page titles, even an FAQPage schema block - the table says so.

The Transformation drag the divider!

Drag the divider. The new site is live.

The left side is a same-day capture of Mike’s old website - its platform blocks live embedding, so this is the honest fallback. The right side is the actual redesign, loaded live right now. Judge the transformation yourself.

Mobile First

For most buyers, the first look
happens on a phone.

So the redesign was built for the phone first. The left screen is a same-day capture of the old site, rendered at a real 375px mobile viewport, not just a resized desktop page. The right screen is a same-day capture of the new site, at the same phone size.

The Math

What would a project like this
normally require?

A custom real estate agent website with listing pages, an IDX feed, local area pages and ongoing SEO work typically runs several thousand dollars to build, plus a recurring monthly fee for hosting and IDX access alone - before any of the writing, design or ongoing edits are billed on top.
